E-Waste Gold Jewellery
Sponsored by The Royal Mint
Design jewellery that celebrates sustainable precious metals & raises awareness about the impact of e-waste.
We warmly welcome The Royal Mint back to the competition as Named Award Patrons, who are sponsoring a 2D design section with a dedicated brief to highlight, inform and promote the increasingly important topics of ethics and sustainability.
The Royal Mint Award is designed to focus on and celebrate the innovative use of gold recovered from electronic waste (e-waste) in jewellery design while simultaneously educating consumers on the importance and benefits of sustainable practices.
Entrants are encouraged to create jewellery designs that not only showcase the beauty and potential of sustainable precious metals but also includes an educational component that raises awareness about the environmental impact of electronic waste and the value of recycling precious metals.
Criteria:
Effective use of e-waste gold and how the design minimizes environmental impact.
Demonstrates commitment to sustainable practices throughout the design and its potential production process.
The ability of the jewellery to educate and inform consumers about the importance of recycling e-waste and the environmental benefits of using recycled gold.
Innovative methods used to communicate the story and significance of e-waste gold to the consumer.
